Caption: | Saqqarah Unas Causeway carvings reliefs ancient Egyptian men pulling snakethat remain and have been built into the restored walkway from the Pyramid of Unas near the Step Pyramid and which slopes down to the Valley Temple first seen as visitors arrive at this major complex near Memphis. Recent archaeological work has discovered tombs underneath the causeway such as that of the Two Brothers while many other undiscovered or partially excavated ones lie alongside the causeway as do boat pits. |
