 Covesea shore Moray Firth Scotland coastline sea heather summer photograph located between Lossiemouth Hopeman trail clifftop walk Scotland offering some beautiful views over the Moray Firth to the Black Isle and Cromarty but is a demanding exercise only possible at low tide if you choose the lower route. A marked clifftop trail makes the journey between Covesea and Hopetown easier with some spectacular views and plenty of marine birdlife. Along this stretch of the coast is a cave called the Sculptors Cave with Pictish carvings showing the ancient attraction of this coastline reinforced with the importance of nearby Burghead, the site of a major Pictish fort and harbour.
