Meikle Pap Snow 0729386jhp Snow covered Winter Lochnagar Scotland Meikle Pap rocks Glen Muick Aberdeenshire Photo taken from the Meikle Pap near the fourth highest mountain in Britain looking eastwards towards the Loch and carpark in North East Scotland to the south of Ballater and the River Dee with the distant Cairngorm Range in the background. On approaching the saddle above the lochan and looking across at the summit of the mountain range, the Meikle Pap is small climb to the right and does give useful views across the whole front of the mountain and the opportunity from its boulder scree field for foreground interest to create a sense of 3 dimensional depth. This point is an approximate 2-2.5 hour’s walk from the carpark on well defined track to the Fox’s Well and thereafter a conservation constructed pathway.
