 Banff Royal Burgh marina boats anchor berth bay seafront harbour Scotland looking across to the waterfront houses facing the old harbour. Banff is a town with a history dating back to the 12th century and was granted a charter by Robert the Bruce in the 14th Century. Once a thriving herring fishing port it is now a quiet town catering more to tourism with an excellent golf course at Duff House and has several sandy beaches. It is reckoned to be one of the driest and sunniest locations is Scotland.
