 Culter Aberdeen City Rob Roy Statue June trees Scottish legend North Deeside Road Aberdeenshire Scotland located just by A93 North Deeside Road Peterculter within the boundaries of the City of Aberdeen. The track of the old Deeside Railway line from Aberdeen to Ballater, cut in the Beeching days, but is now part of the Deeside Way a public walk way which is nearly complete from the City to Ballater. The famous statue of Rob Roy who is supposed to have leapt the Culter Burn from its rocky gorge cliffs to escape his enemies is a well know landmark as one arrives in Peterculter and the boundary of Aberdeen City from Deeside. The floral displays nearby are part of the extensive colourful displays that have won the City many Best of Britain Awards.
