 Deir al-Madinah Workers Egyptian Village Houses Rooms Streets Rock Tombs Hills is located on the West Bank of the River Nile at Luxor lies to the west of Qurnet Murai hill and is the location of a workman's village with the remains of houses, streets and to the north a Ptolemaic Temple and other chapels. The workers are known for their work in the Valley tombs which they reached walking over the Theban plateau. Several photographs show the streets, houses, interior with domestic bowls and grinding querns; in this a general overview over the village to its tombs and rock tombs to the North West corner. There are also some exquisitely decorated underground tombs of which a couple are included in the entrance ticket.
