Interior paintings are in colour and general preservation is good. It is short walk from Amadah, the Temple to Amun-Re and Re-Harakhte and slightly further along is the the Temple of el-Derr. These three sites are usually visited on one visit from the cruiseboat and do involve some walking on desert sand often in extreme heat.
