 Glen Tanar Royal Deeside St Lesmo Chapel Celtic Cross Scotland is situated in a lovely accessible valley to the south of Aboyne on Royal Deeside in Aberdeenshire North East Scotland. The Glen is now a much visited place with an informative Braeloine Centre with Countryside Ranger, holiday cottages, fishing and easy access to many easy walks through ancient Scottish Caledonian Pine Forest and is a popular walking and cycling route to Mount Keen. There is a public pay and display car park mid way up the metalled road across from the centre and the main walk to St Lesmo’s Chapel which is popular for weddings making use of Glen Tanar House ballroom for receptions and conferences.

 Loch Kinord Scottish Celtic Cross Cross-slab Royal Deeside Aberdeenshire lying beneath Hill of Morven and located to the north of North Deeside Road mid way the River Dee valley between Aboyne and Ballater. Nearby the loch is the Burn O'Vat an impressive gorge with vistors centre and public toilets while on the loch is a Crannog, prehistoric man made island and Osprey can sometimes be seen fishing in the tranquil waters of this SSSI. The cross slab dates from around 9th Century AD and stands near to its original location on the north shore overlooking the loch.

 The Sueno Stone Cross-slab Pictish Record Battle Defeat Forres Moray Scotland of the Danes in 1014AD. It stands 23 feet high, the tallest such medieval sculpture in Scotland and the 7.6 ton sandstone slab is decorated with warriors, war scenes, the vanquished corpses, animals and Celtic interlaced spiral knotwork. It has been covered in this huge Perspex canopy to stop the weathering that is caused by modern acid rain.
