 Birse burn bridge stone fields clouds road Deeside summer rural scenery on this small single lane country road to the south of Royal Deeside off the road from Finzean to Aboyne B976. This country road to this small community loops around the church either from a junction at the Haugh or Deerhillock and this scenery typical of hinterland Deeside. Near this small bridge over the Burn of Birse is Birse Church off the the right in the trees dating from 1779 but near the site of an earlier one probably dating from the 15th century.
