Deeside fm Hillhead fgh5288jhp Lochnagar Deeside Hillhead mountain Scottish hills cirrus clouds sheep dyke wall Aberdeenshire taken near to the site of a possible stone circle or ring cairn above the farm of Hillhead, accessed from Alamein off the Tarland road west from the Queen's View at the Slack. Away in the distance with the same alignment is the hill with the Bronze Age Tomnaverie Recumbent Stone Circle built on it. The excavation site behind this viewpoint is also known as Blackhills although it is located nearer to the farm of Hillhead. Bennachie summit can also be seen from the site and given its height it was a very carefully chosen location.
