 Ancient Egyptian Karnak Temple General View South Aspect Obelisks Photo is located near Luxor City centre on the East Bank of the River Nile and it the largest religious complex on the Nile. Excellent views of the whole Karnak complex here from the Sun Chapel at Temple of Khonsu, set to the south-west of the Karnak complex and is worth a visit as it is usually free of crowds, is well preserved and is adjacent to a nicely decorated Temple of Opet, a Goddess hippopotamus deity who assisted women in childbearing.
