 Karnak Temple Egyptian central court shrine alabaster festival hall Thutmose near the most sacred part of this huge sprawling site located near Luxor City centre on the East Bank of the River Nile and Karnak is the largest religious complex on the Nile. Looking from the Sanctuary acrooss the Central court to the Memorial Festival Temple or Hall of Thutmosis 111 this large open space in which the most notable thing is the huge slab of alabaster on which a shrine might have stood in the oldest part of the Karnak complex.
