Potarch Deeside Way River Dee broom flowering yellow path Scotland summer walking bythe river after leaving the new public carpark by the Potarch Bridge at this well known crossing point over the river from the North Deeside Road between Banchory and Kincardine O誰eil for heading eastwards to Feughside up this Road via the Shooting Greens and past Slewdrum Community owned woodland or south to join the southern route from Aboyne to Finzean. In the summer the riverbank can be mobbed with picnickers and swimmers while it is also a popular salmon fishing stretch and the narrow turbulent water good for canoeing. This stretch of the Deeside Way has been recently completed and adds another piece to the public footpath network running from Aberdeen west along Deeside to Ballater.
