Dendara Temple Storage Crypt 5589EG07JHP Dendara Temple storage crypt underground photograph ancient Egypt carved walls in the home of the Goddess Hathor, north of Luxor survives as one of the finest examples of the Late Period and the main buildings visited today date from fourth century BC in to the Roman period. It has a notable rare representation of the famous Cleopatra, some beautiful carvings and is relatively unscathed by the ravages of time, desecration and being dismantled for building materials. Underneath the temple are a series of passageways and crypts used for the storage of sacred objects and one opening into the vestibule of the Throne of Re is open to the public.
