Banff Seafront fgh5168jhp Banff Boyndie bay Whitehills sea waves Scottish autumn seafront west coastline looking from near the Banff Marina carpark westwards towards Whitehills across Boyndie Bay along the Moray frith coast. Banff is a town with a history dating back to the 12th century and was granted a charter by Robert the Bruce in the 14th Century. Once a thriving herring fishing port it is now a quiet town catering more to tourism with an excellent golf course at Duff House and has several sandy beaches. It is reckoned to be one of the driest and sunniest locations is Scotland.
