St Palladius Church wedding preparations Drumtochty Glen Mearns Aberdeenshire Scotland summer on the charming road that links Auchenblae in the Mearns with the main B974 Cairn O’Mount road opposite the Clatterin Brig restaurant. The church was built in 1885 by Arthur Clyne for the then owner of Drumtochty Castle, the Rev. J.S. Gammell. Glen Drumtochty has interesting Forest Enterprise walks through mixed mature woodland and after leaving the forest the road passes the delightful lochan in Glensaugh, used for fishing and often with swans. This most recent photograph from the roadside had decorations at the door in preparation for a wedding later that day.
