 River Dee autumn colourful trees westwards Kincardine O誰eil Aberdeenshire Scotland Royal Deeside located juts west of this charming and almost untouched village heralded as the oldest village on Deeside with a history dating back before Christian times, situated on the River Dee at a ferry crossing point and connected to the early development of Christianity credited with a church set up by St Erchard around 933AD. Probably the most traditional of the Deeside villages with little modern development to change its original character situated between the major towns of Banchory and Aboyne on the north Deeside Road.
