Autumn Lords Throat fgh6982jhp Bennachie Scottish autumn dyke Lord’s Throat beech trees Donside Aberdeenshire in North East Scotland looking eastwards by on autumnal afternoon. Bennachie Hill, the site of a vitrified Pictish fort is on the left with its distinct outline clearly viewed from many parts of Aberdeenshire. This road coming from Keig to the west passes through the Lord’s Throat at its western end and winds down the south side of Bennachie and the north side of the River Don. It passes a Forestry Enterprise carpark called Donview with public walks in the Paradise Woods and eventually joins the Monymusk to Chapel of Garioch road and it one of the most picturesque parts of the River with the added attraction of some wonderful autumnal colour displays throughout this stretch.
