At the northern end of Howe of Mearns which is a central part low lying flat fertile farmland in the centre of an area stretching from the south of Stonehaven to the Tay Estuary. This view is a junction on a road running west from Inverbervie which then turns south towards Garvock Hill above Laurencekirk.
