 River Don Scotland Aberdeenshire Donside autumn colours Paradise Woods beech trees North East Scotland looking downstream eastwards by the Paradise Woods on autumnal afternoon. Bennachie Hill, the site of a vitrified Pictish fort is on the left with its distinct outline clearly viewed from many parts of Aberdeenshire. This road coming from Keig to the west through the Lord’s Throat runs down the south side of Bennachie, passes a Forestry Enterprise carpark at Donview with public walks in the Paradise Woods and eventually joins the Monymusk to Chapel of Garioch road near the road bridge after passing this viewpoint.
