The road runs southwards over the River Don from Montgarrie to Alford past the Haughton Country Park. This ruin overlooking the floodplain of the Blacklatch/Suie Burn is beside the road that heads north into the Correen Hills near Whitehaugh or doubles back via North Keig into Keig.
