Dendara Mammisi EG21213jhp Dendara temple Qena Nile Egypt mammisi birth house screen carving beautiful and considered some of the best and most delicate of workmanship of this period and here adorning the Roman mammisi of birth house attributed to Nectanebo 1. It shows the birth of the young God Harsomtus, child of Hathor and Horus of Edfu. This temple is also famous as having one of the only representations the famous Queen Cleopatra V11 with her son by Julius Caesar, Caesarion. The temple can be reached by road from Luxor and is also the destination for a popular day cruise on the River Nile from Luxor via Qena.
