 Aberdeenshire coast south Stonehaven yellow daffodils War Memorial spring Scottish which looks southwards across Strathlethan Bay to Bowdun Head and Dunnottar Castle. The location is to the south of the town of Stonehaven which is a popular seaport town south of Aberdeen on the North East Coast, a popular place for boat owners to berth sea going yacht s and boats as well as a busy training centre for offshore survival courses. The harbour is fronted by hotels, the Tolbooth Museum, has a free public carpark, toilets and restaurants and walks along the adjacent Stonehaven Bay to its Open Air Swimming Pool. To the south of the town is the famous and spectacular ruin of Dunnottar Castle perched on a headland out from the cliffs into the North Sea. Note the Exif date is incorrect on this image-was April not January.
