 First Iconic View Step Pyramid Kong Doser Saqqara Egypt Fluted Limestone Stone after completing the entrance walk through the limestone enclosure wall into the Step Pyramid complex dating from around 2500BC to the south of Cairo and near the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis. The walk through these fluted engaged columns creates a delicate colonnade from the entrance gate and increasing the impact as one faces the huge courtyard facing the south face of the oldest stone monument in the world.
