 Luxor Temple Ancient Egypt Obelisk Ramses Granite Statues Pylon Front Entrance located on the east bank of the River Nile at Luxor, Egypt is credited to Ramses 11 as the main builder and these are his massive granite statues at the entrance to the first pylon and the one remaining red granite obelisk. On the side of the huge black granite seats are carvings in excellent state of repair illustrating early the mythology of ancient Egypt, the Union of the Two Lands; Upper and Lower Egypt.
