Delgatie Castle TO18833JHP 
 Delgatie Castle Garden Approach Fountain Feature Rampant Lion Carvings Foreground dates from the 11th Century and was built by the Earls of Buchan, situated about two miles east of Turriff in Buchan, Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland. Taken from them in 1314 by the Hays of Delgatie after the Battle of Bannockburn it was rebuilt around 1570. A major feature is the turnpike staircase with the widest span in Scotland. It has many historical artefacts and works of art and colourful painted ceilings dating to the mid 1590’s.
