Banff Royal Burgh is located at the estuary of the River Deveron crossed by a beautiful seven arched bridge and is town with a history dating back to the 12th century and was granted a charter by Robert the Bruce in the 14th Century. Once a thriving herring fishing port it is now a quiet town catering more to tourism with an excellent golf course at Duff House and has several sandy beaches. It is reckoned to be on of the driest and sunniest locations is Scotland.
