 Slains Cruden Bay view Aberdeenshire Coast Cliffs autumn harvest bales taken from near to a ruined mansion rather than true castle erected in 1597 by the Earl of Erroll now lies as a ruin on the cliffs just north of Cruden Bay although recent planning permission has been passed for it to be developed as apartments. It is famous as a possible inspirational location for the Dracula story written by Bram Stoker during one of his holidays to Cruden Bay.
