Bennachie Oldmeldrum vbn1068jhp Oldmeldrum Bennachie harvest bales Aberdeenshire Scottish autumn community rural viewpoint of this distinctive hill in Northern Aberdeenshire in this expanding town north of Inverurie and the main junction for journeys to Turriff and Fraserburgh via Fyvie or eastwards to Ellon and Peterhead. This view is from a another community project to the west of the town and adjacent to the new bypass which in 2015 is in the middle stages of completion but should once it is finished offer panoramic views across the flat plain of the River Urie towards Bennachie and Garioch. One might however question the bad planning decision to allow a single wind turbine to be located in such a prominent position impacting on this iconic Aberdeenshire hilline.
