Saqqara Museum Egypyt Tomb Burial Goods Khennu Coffin Wooden Boat exhibit in this new museum by the modern ticket office at entrance to the Saqqara necropolis south of Cairo. This is the wooden coffin of Khennu, Chancellor to the Gods, from the Middle Kingdom and the small figure of his son Ipiemsafipi stands right of centre along with with other exhibits of funerary goods such as the wooden boat and carved figures all part of the team to assist the departed in the afterlife. It is difficult to avoid reflections in the glass especially as access to take photographs is restricted, tripods and flash is banned and I understand that since I visited there has been an overall photography ban applied.
