Khenu was the son of Nefer, the Inspector of artisans and singers. I could find little information about Khenu and in several reference books/guide books his mastaba is not mentioned. I understand he had two sons called Ihy and Simoenas, one of which appears in the carvings and his mastaba has an excellent example of a false door. There are several cartouches for the King Unas indicating that Khenu and his father served during this period.
