Egyptian Luxor West Bank Thebes Valley Queens approach querns hills rocks is the lesser known and visited burial necropolis on the West Bank of the River Nile at Luxor in which some Royal burials of this ancient civilisation of Pharaohs wives are contained as well as wives of important officials. Certainly one of the most beautiful is that of Queen Nefertari [66], restored by the Getty Institute and is not always open. Entry is by limited special permission and substantial entrance fee. I did have the chance to see it for a very limited time and of course no photography was allowed but it was an awesome experience, almost akin to be being in a Disney cartoon rich in colour. The usual tombs visited on a package visit are Queem Tyti [52], Prince Amun-hir-Khopshef [55] and Prince Kha’emweset [44].

This viewpoint is accessed from the Bridge of Alford to Montgarrie and takes you over the Correen Hills by Suie Hill to Clatt and onto the Alford Huntly road near Rhynie. The distinctive shape of the Tap O’Noth hill with its vitrified Pictish fort remains on the top. Knockespock House is the large mansion that lies directly beneath this signed viewpoint. Clatt itself has an established history becoming a Barony under King James 1V as far back as 1501.
