Aswan Nubian Museum School EG052981JHP Aswan Egyptian Nubian Museum interior exhibit of Nubian school teacher and class in Nubia village design and decoration before flooding destroyed much of the Nubian lands and villages. Display inside this modern air-conditioned building whose foundations were laid in 1986, opened in 1997 and organised through UNESCO. Very low artificial light makes general photography difficult as well as affecting accurate colour balance. This now appears to be the only museum in Egypt where photography is still allowed although it is not easy as the ambient lighting is extremely subdued for conservation reasons.
