 Khonsu Temple Pylon Karnak Front Outside Gate Ancient Egypt Luxor which is located near the City centre on the East Bank of the River Nile and it the largest religious complex on the Nile. Front of the pylon of the Temple of Khonsu, set to the south-west of the Karnak complex and is worth a visit as it is usually free of crowds, is well preserved and is adjacent to a nicely decorated Temple of Opet, a Goddess hippopotamus deity who assisted women in childbearing.
