Qurna Village Changes EG075716JHP Egyptian Modern Clearances Luxor West Bank Old Qurna Village Mudbrick Houses interspersed with the Tombs of the Nobles is undergoing a major modernisation programme with the houses being removed, occupants relocated and the entrances to the various tombs made more accessible. Obviously a programme without some pain and opposition especially from locals who have lived in the area and over the tombs for generations but part of the necessary management and control of these irreplaceable ancient sites and the artefacts contained therein.
