We are looking southwards over Royal Deeside towards the Forest of Birse beyond the South Deeside Road where it would be approached from Ballogie and Finzean and in the distance the distinct outline of Clachnaben. This view is taken from the Torphins to Kincardine O’Neil road near Upper Craigton farmhouse on Kincardine Estate on 19th May at 9.14hrs UT.
