Deeside Woods fgh0995jhp Scotland Aberdeenshire Deeside Sluie Bog Scots Pines ferns backlit summer sunshine alongside the Old Deeside Road between Inchmarlo and Kincardine O誰eil adjacent to Sluie Bog with its mature stand of Scots Pines and Craiglash Quarry on Royal Deeside west of Aberdeen in North East Scotland. As you drive through the short stand of huge trees with their canopy covering the road it is one of the few places in Aberdeenshire that feels remotely like a tropical landscape with backlit high trees and fern covered ground-sadly not immune from flytipping. Beneath the trees to the south lies the Bog Loch hidden amongst the undergrowth and reeds.
